Philly\u2019s top edge rusher will now be heading to the Jets \u2014 where Huff played last season \u2014 for surprisingly little: a conditional draft pick in 2026.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-112137\" src=\"https:\/\/nflquynh.aweu.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/haason-reddick-trade-eagles-deal-pass-rusher-to-the-jets-for-less-than-youd-think-quynha.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"920\" height=\"613\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The pick in 2026 is a third-round pick that could be a second rounder if Reddick hits 67.5 percent playtime and has 10 or more sacks this season, per Adam Schefter. The Jets will also take on the DE\u2019s contract cost for 2024, save for his $1 million roster bonus.<\/p>\n<p>While Reddick being traded was assumed, it doesn\u2019t make it any better for the Eagles defense. Consistently one of the top producers over the past two seasons, the DE was looking to be paid among the best at his position following the 2024 season, but the Eagles weren\u2019t looking at a long-term deal \u2014 particularly with Huff, Sweat, Brandon Graham re-signing, and Nolan Smith expected to make a leap in Year 2.<\/p>\n<p>Reddick wasn\u2019t as productive in the back half of the 2023 season, but the Eagles defense struggled as a whole, and the edge rusher was the victim of a mid-season DC and scheme change.
